Incredible Weekend
It was an incredible weekend! It was the launch of our new 12:30 pm service and also the launch of the "Ask God" series. Well you may be wondering about how it all turned out:
We had around 510 people at the 12:30 service. All the services were fairly evenly attended.
The 9:00 am service was smaller, but it rained quite a bit as the service was beginning. It rained most of the morning.
For the 12:30 we set up curtains to shrink the room, but we needed to take them down as it filled up. It was great. The energy was really good, it felt good, and we had around 6 people who came to Christ. That's what it's all about.
Thank you all for your commitment. You did great! The launch to the series was strong. Rick did an outstanding job dealing with "Why are Christians so judgmental." We had some others who also came to Christ in the other services. It was a great weekend.
If you were not in the service, you did not here Eric mention the fact that we may be merging wtih Central Baptist Church downtown. That's right. Central approached us about the possibility and we have met with their leaders, and they with us. There have been many meetings, and discussion and much prayer.
Their church will be voting on this in just a few weeks. Eric and I will be leading worship there next Sunday. This is an amazing opportunity for us. We have been praying to have a church in downtown, and God appears to be opening this door. Please pray about this.
