Merry Christmas

I wanted to say, Merry Christmas to everyone. The Lord has been and is so good. I am blessed. This year has flown by. It is amazing how quickly the days pass.

As you all know, my precious bride fell and broke a bone in her foot, ankle and wrist while decorating her room on December 1st. So, this month she has been in a wheel chair. Not what she was planning on for Christmas, however, the Lord has given her grace. She has the best attitude. So this Christmas will be different, but it will be blessed. For our Lord is here, Christ the Lord.

Thank you Christ Fellowship, for allowing me to serve. You are an inspiration. Many of you have brought meals to our home, yum, yum. They have been great! You have prayed for us, you serve along side of us and we have seen this year, God continually doing some amazing things!

Let's pray for another amazing year!

Worship Choir, we will not rehearse or sing for the next two weeks. I look forward to seeing you soon. Don't forget however, that you will need to be here tonight, Christmas Eve, at 4:00 PM as we share our last Christmas service of 2008.

I love you all.

Two more services of Simply Christmas at Palmetto Bay

That's right. Simply Christmas, the series, is coming to a close. Two more services at Palmetto Bay. Tuesday at 6:30 PM and Wednesday at 5:00 PM

It was a great start to our Christmas services. The energy in the room on Saturday was electric. When we got to the part in Mighty to Save, "Shine your light and let the whole world sing. We're singing, for the Glory of the risen King!" The people raised their candles, there was a wide angle shot of the congregation on the side screens, people were singing at the top of their voices,...it was glorious! Really! The worship was special. Thanks to all who made it possible.

Worship team, [Instrumentalist, singers] everyone, at 5:30 on Tuesday, December 23.

Worship team, [Instrumentalist, singers] everyone, at 4:00 on Wednesday, December 24.

See you then.

Christmas Party and Singing at the Mall

Everyone has been super awesome to us. Our worship and media party was a hit. We had a bunch of peeps at the Flores' home. It was really special. Toni and Dominique came over and helped get ready. Ammy, helped get all the Christmas cards together, the food was off the charts. It was great.

We've also had people coming over each evening with dinner. Wow! That's been really good.

Linda is now in two casts and ready to make the journey to recovery. Up to two months on her foot and ankle and four to five weeks on her wrist. Thanks for your prayers.

Hey, Thursday evening, December 11th, we'll be singing at Southland Mall. Please arrive at 7:00 PM. We'll be singing in front of "Carl's and Cards" by the Kids play area. We'll wear black, with accents of red.

Let's pray for an opportunity to share our faith while there. And as always, be sure you are inviting people to our Simply Christmas series. It's really going to be good. It started off really strong, so let's have another great weekend. We had several who gave their lives to Christ...Yea! Let's pray that God will do it again.

We'll see you this evening for rehearsal. We will rehearse in the worship suite tonight. When you get here you'll know why.

I love you all so much.

Christmas at CF

Well, Christmas has come to Christ Fellowship. Here is a Picture of the Worship Center that I took just before the evening began. I took the picture for Linda so she could see what the decorations looked like. They were beautiful, and Linda was able to make it to the 10:30 service. She sat in her wheelchair at the rear of the Worship Center with her leg propped up on the seat in front of her.

V.I.P. Seating was a hit. One family, at the 10:30 service, had 23 family members in the service. It was really great. I think a few people fell asleep in the couches. They were really comfortable.

The weekend was great! Families dedicating their kids, the lighting of the Christmas tree, Family pictures around the awesome Christmas scenes...several giving their lives to Christ, wow...what a weekend.

Don't forget to invite your friends. The Simply Christmas series has begun and it's going to be awesome!

Life sometimes hands you...let me see...how would I say this...?

On minute you're singing Christmas Carols, and the next you're on the floor with a broken ankle, foot and possibly a wrist.

Yep, that's how it happened with Linda. She was on a chair in her classroom, putting up decorations, singing, when she took a wrong step from the chair and fell to the floor. She couldn't get up so the kids in her classroom got the teacher next door. They called the school nurse, called me and we called 911.

Everybody at the hospital was great. They put Linda in temporary casts, which she is still in. We'll be getting an MRI on her wrist to determine if there's a fracture.

Linda is a great patient. She spends most of the day laying down. She is able to scoot around in a wheel chair. She also spends time on the computer. She's getting good with one hand. She is able to move her fingers some.

Say a prayer for her. We know that God is going to teach us through this unfortunate circumstance, so we are excited about this journey.

She's already told me, "I'm going to church on Sunday." That's my girl; not letting anything get her down.

I can't wait to see you all on Friday at our Worship and Media Christmas party at our place. Let's pray for an awesome weekend. It's the start of Simply Christmas. The worship choir will sing at all services this weekend.

Blessings
