ING Miami Marathon

I'll be running in the ING Marathon on Sunday to benefit Crohns Disease. My nephew Taylor Mullins Flores has it as well as many others that you yourself may know. What's really cool is that my nephew Jordon, Taylor's brother and my niece, Courtney, who is Taylor's sister, are also running. So it's a family affair.

Not much is known about what causes Crohn's disease. What is known is that it is a chronic inflammatory disease of the digestive or gastrointestinal tract that appears to be a result of a complex interaction of factors including:

* Inherited genes
* The immune system
* Environmental factors

Researchers believe that once a person's immune system is "turned on" it doesn't know how to "turn off" at the right time causing inflammation that damages the intestines. This results in the pain and other symptoms of Crohn's disease

Be in prayer for my nephew, that God would give him strength as he deals with this illness as well as all those who battle with Crohn's.

Be in prayer for me; that I'll finish strong and safe. And as always, that I may share my faith along the way. I am so blessed to have such a loving and gracious Father. I want the world to know Him like I do.

Hey, worship team, will will sing this Sunday, so I will see you at Church tonight.
I love you all.

Into 2009 and running!

WOW! What a start to 2009! The Jesus Uncensored series has been amazing. Lives being changed in our services, families being encouraged. It has been sweet to say the least.

We had 85 who made the commitment to unite with Christ Fellowship at our Palmetto Bay 101 class and 8 who crossed the line of faith! Yea boy!

Small Groups are in full swing and I’m lovin’ it. Let me say a BIG THANK YOU to all of you who are so faithful each weekend. Each of you make a huge difference every weekend as you lead in worship.

Be in prayer for our Saturday evening Worship Choir, which you will be hearing about soon. We will be forming this choir from our Saturday evening service. We are having a bunch of folks that are coming to that service and I know that the Lord has some people who can sing and have a heart and passion for worship. Please join me in prayer about this.

It is going to be a great 2009!

On a side note, I’m typing this while also checking on the football game. It looks like Baltimore has got the big “Mo.”

Take that back…Pittsburg just got an interception and scored.

I love you all.

104 attend the 101 Connection Class!

It was an awesome launch to Jesus Uncensored. The staging looked really good. I got a lot of questions about the T-Shirts and some funny looks at the pics of Jesus. We had over 700 adults on Saturday evening in the adult worship service with around 5 coming forward as they crossed the line of faith. It was an electric evening.

Sunday morning was jumping also. Rick did a great job on the message delivering clarity and truth.

So if you've not invited anyone to the series, you need to do it. It's gonna be great!

Connection Classes were really good. Not because I was teaching 101, but because there were so many people. We served outside "ministry rally" style. It was sweet. The food was awesome, the excitement high. Wow, what a weekend. I feel the "Big Mo."

Finish Strong

Full Steam Ahead

This weekend begins "Jesus Uncensored."
There's been a big push for this, so we're expecting a big group.

Be in prayer for this weekend. Check this out, we have 170 people signed up for 101 connection class here at Palmetto! Yes, I just said, we have 170 people signed up.
That is incredible. Not all of those will come, but most will, so let's be in prayer for an awesome weekend; and that I don't mess it up.

Hey folks, see you tonight. Worship team, will be singing the entire weekend I'll give you further instructions tonight.

Love you all.

2009 is here and rolling!

They say, "As you get older time seems to move faster." It sure feels that way. 2008 has passed and it was really good. 2009 is here and rolling right along.

I'm excited about all that lies ahead. I'm excited about where God has taken us so far, and I'm really excited about what God will do this year. It's more than we can imagine.

Sunday, January 4th we showed our first service on Channel 7. There were a few glitches, not on our part, but they will be resolved. Let's pray that God uses these messages to change lives.

Jesus Uncensored begins this weekend and I'm fired up about this. Invite your friends. You know that small groups begin as well. Dude this is great!

Okay, Worship choir, we will be back together this Wednesday evening. Check out planningcenteronline, for the tunes.

I love you all and can't wait to be with you. Thank you for the prayers and for the way you have served Linda and me. She is on the mend...slowly but surely.
